Disclaimer

The purpose of this site is to share resources that support collaboration, learning, and action for sustainability. From the outset, the site has focused on linking to open-access materials so they can be freely shared. While there may be occasional exceptions, the clear policy has always been to highlight resources that are openly available.

Disclaimer at a glance

  • Content on this site is shared to support learning and collaboration. It is prepared with care, but is provided for general information only and without formal liability.

I do my best to ensure that information on this site is accurate, current and clearly presented. However, it should not be treated as professional, legal, policy, technical or project-specific advice. Anyone using the material should consider their own context, check relevant sources and seek appropriate advice before relying on it for specific decisions.

Resources linked from Learning for Sustainability are selected because they appear useful, relevant, practical or thought-provoking in relation to the themes covered on the site. Inclusion does not imply endorsement of all content, authors, organisations, methods or conclusions. Nor should it be read as a ranking, recommendation or comprehensive review of a field. The site is a curated learning resource, shaped by ongoing practice and reading.

Learning for Sustainability, its manager and contributors are not responsible for any loss or damage that may result from the use of information provided through this site.

This site also links to external websites. LfS does not control or endorse their content, and links should not be seen as formal associations. As web content changes over time, some links may stop working. If you notice a broken link or have a suggestion for improvement, please let me know.

Copyright and reuse

Learning for Sustainability is intended to make useful ideas, resources and practical material easier to find, use and share. The arrangements below distinguish between original material created for this site, which may generally be reused with acknowledgement, and material from other sources, which remains subject to its own copyright and reuse conditions.

Copyright and reuse at a glance

  • Original Learning for Sustainability text, graphics and multimedia may generally be copied and shared, provided the author and source are acknowledged.
  • Adapted material should be clearly identified, and material may not be republished for sale as a standalone product without prior permission.
  • Photographs, graphics and other third-party material may have different reuse conditions. Please check the original source before copying or reusing them.

Unless otherwise noted, original text, graphics and multimedia content created for Learning for Sustainability may be copied and shared without further permission, provided the author and source are acknowledged. Any adaptations should be clearly identified.

The material itself may not be republished for sale as a standalone product without prior permission. This does not prevent the material being cited or reproduced, with acknowledgement, in reports, articles, teaching materials or other publications.

Some photographs and graphics on this site are sourced from free-to-use image libraries, including Adobe Stock Free, Unsplash and, previously, Canstock. They are used under the terms provided by those services. In some cases attribution is not required, but where possible the source has been credited.

Other images come from project, programme or fieldwork contexts in which photographs were shared for communication and learning purposes. These are credited where the source is known. If an image credit is incomplete, or you believe an image should be removed or credited differently, please contact me and I will review it.

Images displayed on this site may not always be available for unrestricted reuse elsewhere. Please do not copy or attribute third-party images directly to Learning for Sustainability unless their reuse terms are clear. Third-party material, including linked resources, photographs and graphics from other sources, remains subject to its own copyright and reuse conditions.

Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of tools to help understand how visitors use this site and to improve its performance. These include:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics, which avoids cookies and tracks aggregate visit and performance data without storing personal information.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which may use cookies or local storage depending on your browser settings. This helps us understand overall site traffic and content engagement.

Where possible, we have minimised the use of tracking cookies and avoided tools that share data for advertising. If you prefer not to be tracked at all, you can adjust your browser settings or use privacy extensions to block tracking scripts.

We do not use analytics data for advertising or profiling. Analytics information is handled only through the analytics services described above.

SERVICES AND SUPPORT

This site curates annotated links to tools and frameworks for people working in complex, multi-actor settings. It also shows how different dimensions of practice fit together across real-world contexts.

If you’re looking for tailored support – whether that’s short advisory input, process design, reflective coaching, or strategic writing – you’re welcome to get in touch or visit my bio and services page to learn more. I work collaboratively on facilitation, evaluation, and learning design, often during early-stage or time-limited phases.

Support this site

This site is free for everyone, but not free to maintain. If you find it useful, you might consider a small contribution, about the cost of a cup of coffee, to help keep it going.
